3Gear Systems have designed a gesture interface for the Kinect. The Kinect is designed to register full body movements, the 3Gear system enhances this ability by utilising two Kinects and 3Gear's hand tracking algorithms to quickly and accurately detect and track small movements and gestures (two Kinects until occlusion, or shadowing of the fingers by part of the hand, can be resolved). This allows manipulation of a 3D environment. 3Gear will give a free licence for their SDK to individuals, so apply and play.
